Initially Yasmin focused her studies in Theatre at Wimbledon School of Art, but then progressed onto developing her love for story telling when she went back to study a Masters in Production Design at the National Film and Television School.
Her creative work is a potent mix of bold visuals and dramatic storytelling. Her first feature film had her travelling to America at the early age of 21, and her second feature film got her a spot on television as an upcoming production designer, and she has progressed as an artist since then. Recognition for her design work includes 1st place in the Craft award for Best Production Design at the Kodak awards for a Robinsons ‘Cloud Chasers’ commercial. And the graduation film she designed ‘Until the River Runs Red’ won a Bafta award for Best Short film in 2011.
Yasmin has spent the majority of her career working in the art department. Work in this area ranges from production designing low budget features to on going work on blockbuster films, working in the art department. She has worked for leading production designers as well as Oscar winning set decorators and continues to grow in this field of work. Companies she has worked for include BBC Films, Warner Bros., Scott Free Productions and a long term working relationship with Marvel Studios.
Yasmin also continues to maintain working as an art director in commercials in the UK and internationally. She resumes to pursue a creative profession and always welcome new collaborations.
